Best Western International conducts semi-annual inspections at every Best Western hotel in North America. Inspections include the hotels exterior appearance, interior decor, quality and cleanliness of the guest rooms, guestroom amenities, high-speed Internet access and quality of the complimentary breakfast. High Guest satisfaction ratings are also required to be recognized as an award winner. Top performers who exemplify the highest levels in all of these categories are considered for awards.
Best of the Best awards are presented to hotels that have received a perfect 1000 point score and a second score of 975 or greater in the same year.
Chairman’s awards are presented to hotels that receive 980 or greater, placing them in the top 5% of over 2300 Best Western Hotels in North America.
Directors awards are presented to hotels that receive a score of 950 to 979 points.
